You'll be transported to another time and place as you ride through the forests and mountains of a beautiful valley with a deep, historic gorge where iron mining took place in the mid to late 1800s! You’ll ride up the mountain to the top of the gorge where you will be able to look down into the scenic valley below and admire the remainder of the fall foliage.
Then you will ride down into the gorge and between the ominous rocky cliffs. The terrain is so diverse you will feel like you’re in Colorado! The paths you will ride on during this trip are quite unique and different from most east coast trails and include wide-open paths along with rocky, mountainous single-track trails.
After the horseback ride we’ll have lunch at a charming country bistro that bakes fresh bread from scratch every weekend morning. Then we’ll visit a local winery that is nestled in the foothills of the historic Hudson Valley and is situated between two magnificent mountain ranges. Each afternoon they play live music and their tasting room provides the ideal setting for tasting wine, relaxing, and listening to live music.
