Our bones and joints support us and permit us to move, but aging, illness, poor habits and injury can impair our mobility and threaten our health. Fortunately there are herbs, supplements, foods and exercises that can help protect and/or repair our bones and permit us to regain our freedom of movement. This evening a leading expert on Asian herbs and nutrition and a highly experienced teacher of Taoist internal exercise will share their insights. We will discover: natural, non-allergenic sources of calcium and minerals; cutting-edge supplements for enhancing bone density; herbs that reduce chronic pain; rejuvenating and relaxing qigong practices and meditations that gently but powerfully increase muscle strength and bone density; and much more. This workshop will be of special interest to athletes, runners, dancers and those with arthritis or osteoporosis, but all of us should know how to keep our bones strong throughout our lives.
