Keep Skin Healthy During Winter Months

Winter is around the corner, and so are the frigid temperatures that cause dry, itchy and flaky skin.  During the winter, low temperatures, low humidity and strong, harsh winds deplete skin of its natural lipid layer which keeps the skin from drying out. Using a moisturizer daily is important year-round and vital during the  winter months, when skin needs extra hydration and protection against the elements.

Moisturizer is much more effective on properly exfoliated skin so don't forget to scrub your skin in the shower and exfoliate facial skin with a mild scrub made for your face.
Even though it’s cold out, it’s always a smart idea to choose a facial moisturizer with an SPF to protect agains sun damage.
Lastly don’t forget to protect your mouth. Using a lip balm or lip gel moisturizer will prevent and heal dry cracked and chapped lips.
