In order to experience the best quality of life possible, you've got to become intentional about how you live your life. It's one thing to just go through life, hoping that everything will work out. Food

However, it is important to become mindful of what you're eating and consume foods that are beneficial to brain health. Try foods that are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids such as walnuts, wild salmon and spinach. Chia seeds and flaxseed oil are great as well. If you struggle to get all these foods into your daily regimen, consider using a fish oil supplement. Supplements are excellent for helping your body get the nutrients it needs.

Water

Our bodies are made up of 70% water. We desperately need water to survive and thrive. It is important to make sure you drink copious amounts on a daily basis for brain health. When you don't drink enough water, your brain cells suffer and aren't able to sufficiently operate. Your body naturally loses water as you sleep. As a result, it's very important to drink water as soon as you wake up in the morning. This act replenishes the water you've lost and gives you a good start for the day. Whether you carry a water bottle or a jug, keep water on you at all times and sip throughout the day. Your brain function will be at its best and you'll be able to avoid the foggy feeling many people get when they go without water.

Exercise

Exercise is good for a number of reasons, including heart health, weight management and disease prevention. Rest

Whether your body needs seven or ten hours of sleep every night, it's important to be obedient and get your rest as it plays a role in brain health. A good night's rest is the perfect time for the brain to process and repair itself from the day before. When you get a full night's rest, you'll be able to operate from a clear and alert brain that's functioning well.

These factors not only directly affect the brain. They also trickle down and affect your body and your quality of life. Since the mind is the epicenter of where you filter information and produce output, you'll want to make sure it's healthy.
