Boost Your Breakfast

I'm sure everyone knows by now that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. But eating right stuff is just as important as the time of the day that you eat. Your breakfast should include proteins and vegetables instead of empty carbs like bagels, cereals and other foods that will lead to weight gain and low energy.

Proteins that you will include in your breakfast will not only keep your blood-sugar levels steady, but also reduce cravings throughout the day and will even boost your metabolism. Just remember your breakfast energy won't last forever, so it's important to snack few hours after your breakfast to ensure you body continues to get needed nutrients so it can function like a well oiled machine, no matter what hour of the day it is.

Here are some of the foods you can include in your breakfast to help you stay health and even loose weight.

- Whole-gain toast with 2 tablespoons of almond butter and some grapefruit
- Organic yogurt with 1/2 cup berries and 1/4 cup nuts
- Smoothie with 1/2 banana, 1 cup berries, 1 to 2 tablespoons whey protein powder and 8 ounces of skim milk
- One or two poached eggs, sweet potato and slice of turkey
