Start your day with some deep breathing. Not only will it increase your energy levels, but it will also help relax your mind and body.
- Sit on the floor with your legs crossed or on a chair that supports your back with your feet flat on the floor.
- Breathe in slowly, taking the breath through your nose. As you inhale, be conscious of the air passing along your windpipe, into your lungs and diaphragm. Focus on your breath as it travels down.
- Exhale slowly and steadily, ensuring that you are constantly focused on your breathing. Practice this cycle for about 5 minutes.
