How to Move a Mountain
Bringing Tadasana into Other Poses

Tadasana is the foundation for standing and many floor poses. The mountain pose creates centering and balance, feelings of grounding and height, of drawing in and radiating out, of being rooted in the moment and touching the eternal. Learn to translate the alignment principles of this dynamic stillness into standing, seated, and supine asanas, from the warrior poses to dandasana and savasana. In tadasana we combine effort with surrender and action with reaction to establish subtle points of alignment that awaken the body and open the flow of energy.
