Reiki I Workshop The Usui System of Natural Healing with Ginny Mackles, Reiki Master Teacher Saturday, January 30, 2010 9:30am-4:00pm & Sunday, January 31, 2010 9:30am-4:00pm held at Ledgewood Commons Millwood, NY (15 minutes drive north of White Plains in Westchester County, or 45 minutes from Grand Central via MetroNorth)
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful system of energy-based healing and spiritual growth practices created by Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk, in the early 1900's. Reiki is a Japanese term for the concept of "universal life force energy". Practitioners of Reiki utilize meditation, breathing techniques and non-invasive light touch to restore harmony and balance to oneself and others. The focus of Reiki 1 is on self-healing.
 
No prior healing experience is needed. In this two day workshop you will: * be attuned and certified to the first level of Reiki * learn the Five Principles of Reiki * learn the hand positions to facilitate healing for self and for others * give and receive a Reiki treatment The workshop fee is $175.

In an effort to continually grow with Reiki, Ginny has studied with Reiki Masters Carol Krum, Gail Sterling, David Jarrell, William Lee Rand, Frans Stiene, Frank Arjava Petter and Ethel Lombardi (initiated as a Reiki Master through Master Takata) and Tadao Yamaguchi in Japan.
