Prenatal Yoga Center Clothing Drive for Babies
Baby clothes will be collected at the Prenatal Yoga Center Wednesday, April 10, Thursday, April 12, and Friday, April 13 from 9-10 AM, and again on Saturday, April 14, from 1-3 PM. Most needed is clothing up to size 5T, including pajamas and coats, and especially boys clothing. Because Room to Grow offers a special opportunity for families in poverty to obtain needed baby essentials that are in wonderful condition, we ask that all donations are new or nearly new only. Please, nothing stained, worn in appearance, or missing parts.
PYC founder and Director Debra Flashenberg states: “We are honored to continue working with Room to Grow for our annual baby clothing drive. Room to Grow is a wonderful, caring organization dedicated to the needs of mothers and their young children in many ways. Spreading the Karma through baby clothing donations is one way our moms step outside of their day to day worlds and reach out to moms who may be in need.”
By establishing an ongoing Karma Yoga program, the Prenatal Yoga Center invites students to look beyond their day-to-day lives and be conscious of how their energy and intentions can be expressed to others. Some of the past Karma Yoga programs include a collection of gently-used baby clothing for babies in need (Room to Grow), fundraisers for the National Breast Cancer Organization, the March of Dimes and La Leche League, and an annual maternity clothing drive for Sienna House Shelter.
